Welcome
to the Missouri Jaycees website. For those of
you visiting the page that are not currently a member of the Jaycees (Junior
Chamber of Commerce), the Jaycees are an organization that focuses on building
better leaders. This is done through individual development and community
involvement for those between the age of 18-40.
There are several Jaycee chapters across the state of
Missouri which you can be a member of. The chapters offer a great environment
for networking, individual development, and a sense of community and of course,
the social opportunities. Local chapters identify the needs in their own
communities and find ways to meet those needs, be it a food drive, parades,
Easter egg hunts… well, you get the idea! Local chapters also support two state
wide projects, Wonderland Camp and Access Day at the State Fair. We raise money
as a state to give disabled individuals a Camp to attend in the summer and/or a
day at the State Fair where we provide lunch, entertainment and admission.
By joining the Jaycees, you will be given a great
opportunity to become a better person in my opinion, both professionally
and personally. I have been given the honor and privilege of serving as the 91st
State President. I cannot imagine my life without the Jaycees. It has given
back to me more than I ever could have imagined or hoped for. My theme for 2012
is “Never Say Never.” Don’t ever sell yourself short. Don’t listen
to those that are negative and tell you that you can never do that. Don’t ever
give up on yourself or others. You can accomplish more than you think you can!
Turn the negative in your life into a positive by joining the Missouri Jaycees
in 2012 and together we will “Never Say Never” to ourselves or our
communities!
